Fibrotek Flat
Flat Stiffener Thermal Insulation System
FibroTek Flat is the evolution of the Fibrotek thermal insulation panel.
This system replaces the raised batten (profile) with a flat perforated profil, specifically designed as an under-roof insulation solution for Fibrotubi’s new Fibrograf modular metal sheet.
Fibrotek Flat helps enhance the roof’s insulation performance thanks to the polyurethane panel, whose thickness can be adjusted according to the client’s requirements. Its embossed aluminum foil coating also ensures waterproofing against water and external agents, while the longitudinally arranged perforated metal strip provides greater rigidity to the panel and serves as the ideal anchoring point for the FibroGraf sheet.
Like the entire Fibrotek range, the product complies with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) regarding the percentage of recycled content in insulation materials, and is therefore eligible for the related tax incentives.
Technical Data
| Panel Thickness | 60-80-100-120-140-160 mm |
ALUMINIUM FOIL: Centesimal foil on the surface, made of embossed aluminum, wrapping the panel on all four sides to protect the insulation and provide waterproofing.
THERMAL INSULATION: Thermal insulation in rigid expanded polyurethane foam:
– Density: 39 kg/m³
– Thermal conductivity: λ = 0.020 W/m·K
- FLAT STIFFENER 15/10 THICK: 15/10 : Stiffener with a thickness of 15/10 mm in galvanized steel, perforated for anchoring to the structure. Serves as the anchoring point for the roofing layer, ensuring excellent tear resistance.
Fibrotek becomes essential as it can adapt to all types of roofs in line with modern architectural standards.
Advantages
Thermal Insulation
The insulating core of FibroTek is made of high-density rigid polyurethane foam, currently the material with the best thermal conductivity for a given thickness.
Waterproof
The embossed aluminum foil covering the insulation layer not only protects the insulation from deterioration due to air exposure but also acts as a vapor barrier (on the lower side of the panel) and as protection against possible water infiltration from the roof covering, allowing water to flow down to the eaves. FibroTek thus serves as a secondary waterproof layer, in combination with the primary waterproofing provided by the roof covering above it. FibroTek riveste il ruolo di secondo manto impermeabilizzante; in abbinamento a quello primario dato dalla copertura sopra abbinata.
Resistant
When installed on a continuous support structure (such as a reinforced concrete layer or wooden decking), FibroTek panels create a fully walkable load-bearing surface. In the case of discontinuous supports (wooden or steel beams), it is necessary to walk by stepping on the metal battens, avoiding the joints between panels. The robust section of the metal batten has been specifically designed to adequately support not only pedestrian loads.
Quick and Cost-Effective
The installation of FibroTek panels is extremely fast, thanks to their interlocking tongue-and-groove profiling, which ensures precise and secure assembly, and to their light weight. The fixing of the roof covering is also simplified and safe, thanks to the wide support base on the metal batten. Moreover, FibroTek offers an economic advantage: by integrating multiple layers into a single panel, it significantly reduces installation time and overall costs compared to traditional roofing systems.
Applications
We recommend placing Fibrotubi’s triple-action membrane (breathable, anti-rust, anti-condensation) between the Fibrotek Flat system and the Fibrograf panel.
